Holocaust Link

I found a really cool website that shows some of the Holocaust survivors. The website is http://www.holocaustsurvivors.org/. Its really cool because it gives the survivors story and then pictures that they have. On the main page they have a tribute to Soloman Radasky who recently died in 2002. Like Elie Wiesel, Soloman was kept at Auschwitz for most of the Holocaust. Also, on the site it shows pictures of lists that has Soloman's number written down for arrival to the camp and entrance into the hospital. This is a really cool site to look at and I encourage everyone to look at it.

Reaction

I never realized that there was that many websites and sub-websites on the Holocaust. It was sad to see the pictures of the Jewish people stripped naked and shaved without there choice just because they stood by their religion. Nobody should ever have to be put through that. Its also sad to realize that this one guy name Hitler changed the life for all these people just because he didn't like Jewish people. The Holocaust makes me mad just thinking about the whole situation because I could never imagine something like this going on in todays world just because President Bush decides Christians are at fault for the economy. It just doesn't make sense to me and probably never will.

Holocaust Movie

The movie was very shocking to me. I knew about the whole mass assasination of Jews but I never knew of the events that lead up to the Holocaust. I also didn't know that Roosevelt ignored the whole problem in Germany until it was too late to do something about the problem. It was very sad to hear/see Kurt talk about his parents and how the letter for their visas came 2 and a half months too late. The movie was very depressing but was a good thing to watch and to get a better understanding of the Holocaust so we can better understand the book "Night" when we are reading it. Also, it was sad to find out how Americans treated Jewish people when they got to America. It made me very disappointed and I wish I could of helped some how.
